Gerry Lopez grew up in Hawaii in the 50s and 60s. Gerry was one of the pioneers in revolutionizing the r concept of the shortboard in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Pipeline legend, mythical Hawaiian wave. He traveled all over the world: G-Land, Sumatra and Bali, before they became a massive surfing destination.
He was present and practiced in the early windsurfing in Maui, as well as the first years of snowboarding and Town-in in Jaws. Today Gerry shapes some truly unique boards.
His collection of boards is the quiver he carries around the world to surf the best and varied breakpoints on the planet.
