Starboard Wingboard Blue Carbon

This is the top version of the Wingboard, a board designed for wing foiling. To get started you need stability and since volume works on leverage, the further away the volume is from your feet, the more stability it creates. Starboard placed the volume in the rails, at the square nose and at the little “platform” at the tail of the board. Stability is also created by having the feet as close to the foil as possible. You do not want to foil with “High Heels”, so the thinner a board is, the better it rides.

The round nose makes it incredibly forgiving on touchdowns as the nose bounces and skims off the large surface area, not sticking and slowing you down, the recessed deck improves stability as you have a lower centre of gravity. It also brings you closer to the foil for more control when up and riding. The boxy rails pack the volume where you need it, increasing the float and stability so you can ride a narrower and shorter board and the footstrap inserts make it easy to know where to position the feet and always be in the right spot to trim the board. But the Wingboard has more features to discover, so don't think more about it and take the new board to enjoy the wing foil.

Blue Carbon Technology: Full 150g top grade biaxial carbon construction wraps the entire board, joining with an overlap on the deck and bottom to create a flat stringer, increasing overall breaking strength. 2 layers of durable fiberglass form a sandwich around the biaxial carbon, protecting the carbon, cushioning and absorbing impact. The top and bottom combination of twin T-beams work together to increase overall strength. Multiple reinforcements in the foot, nose and tail area increase impact resistance.
