This type of fin is called "touring fin". Its name is because it is designed to be set on paddle boards when we are going to make a tour or long paddling session. This is because it has a special design, where especially the area has been increased, so that the board doesn't drift to the side and helps to keep the straight direction for longer.
What is the main advantage of a touring fin? Mainly, it allows you to go further as it makes you move faster. With this fin the board stays better in the course we want, so that it allows you to give more strokes on the same side of the board, with which the speed increases, in addition to the inertia when we change paddling from one side to another. With this fin the board does not go slow and you have to re-launch it, but by having a high inertia, it keeps moving quickly. This increase in speed means that now you can paddle more distance in the same time and with the same board thanks to the touring fin.
