Casper Steinfath, Andy Saurer and Alan Ng have designed the Javelin for flatwater racing.
It has a deep cockpit to lower the center of gravity and give the board more stability, the raised tail to be maneuverable enough to make buoy turns quickly, and it has a design that despite being optimized for flat water makes it work so well in rough conditions.
The Javelin has a good draft, offers top speed for easy overtaking and also the ability to catch mini bumps if the opportunity arises.
