He was born in Oahu (Hawai), but he left Maui when he was 5 years old, and he grew up surfing at Hanalei Bay. His family moved to Costa Rica when he was 12, and he didn't want to leave Hawaii, but the new country was amazing and he hasn't leave it since he arrived a few years ago. He is surprised for the lot of surfers who travel to Costa Rica to surf its awesome waves each year, and he loves that "everybody comes to visit us". He is a joker and he is always doing jokes to "Donegan" Doolin and "Hossegor" Hank, telling them that he hasn't wetsuit to visit them at Bundoran and Hossegor. Rick needs warm water to give the best surf and show how he can make it on a wave!
