The manufacturing process of Starboard Wood technology combines different layers of material by using a vacuum pressure process. This allows for a rigid, resistant and light package highlighting the use of australian pine wood covering the deck..

Specifications:

15kg/m3 EPS core.
Deck surface finish made with 0,6 mm australian pine with 500 kg/m3 density.
EVA rubber coating at three quarters of the pad: 3mm in stance area and 2mm in the rest of the pad. Startouch treatment for the rest of the deck.
Kicktail in models 9'8'' and below.
Hexcel central fins.
Pro models also include lateral Hexcel. Other models come with plastic Starboard Flex fins.
UV rays protection.
