How to choose your inflatable board in 3 steps

By weight: how much volume you need

Start with the manufacturer's max rider weight. You'll find it on every card in the listing. Across the 2026 packs it runs from 70 kg (Duotone Alfa WS Air 9'0") to 120 kg (Starboard iGo ONE 10'8"x33", iGO Deluxe Lite and Touring Deluxe 14'0"x30").

Then look at volume, which ranges from 180 L to 409 L. More litres means more buoyancy and more room for error. If you weigh 80 kg and you're starting out, any board from 300 L up will feel easy from day one. At 250 L you'll be fine, but with less margin. Below that, you'll need more technique.

Don't overdo it thinking bigger is always better either. A 14-foot, 409 L board is overkill for a spin around the beach, and it weighs a good 10 kg-plus.

By use: allround, touring or windsup

Allround is the do-everything board. It's wider and more stable, works well on flat water, handles a small wave and lets you carry a kid up front. It isn't fast and doesn't try to be. We have 8 allround packs, from 549 € to 1,099 €. See all allround inflatable paddle boards.

Touring is longer and narrower. It's faster, holds its line and lets you paddle straight with less effort, exactly what you want on a tour. In exchange, it's less stable when you're standing still and handles worse in waves. We won't sugarcoat it. 17 packs, from 589 € to 1,489 €. See the inflatable SUP touring packs.

WindSUP has a mast foot. You can fit a sail and do two sports with the same board. Two Duotone Alfa WS Air packs, 849 € and 949 €. See the inflatable WindSUP packs.

If it's your first board and you're still unsure, go allround. It rarely disappoints.

By level: be honest with yourself

If you're starting out, prioritise width and volume. A stable board lets you focus on paddling, not on avoiding a fall. If you've got a couple of seasons behind you and you head out to cover distance, a 12'6" or 14'0" touring will make your tours more enjoyable.

What's included in each inflatable paddle board pack

Every pack on this page comes complete and ready to hit the water: board, paddle, pump, leash, fins, repair kit and carry bag. You don't need to buy anything else for your first outing.

There are a few differences in the paddle and the extras:

  • The Premium Duotone Blitz Air SLS packs add a kayak seat, in case you ever prefer to paddle sitting down.
  • Starboard's Kayak Sets (iGO Deluxe Lite and Touring Deluxe Lite) include a kayak seat and paddle.
  • The Starboard Touring Deluxe fits a Lima 3P carbon paddle, far lighter and stiffer than an aluminium one.

If the paddle is too long for you, we cut it to size before shipping, at no cost. Just tell us your height when you order.

Thermal welding technology: why it matters

Starboard and Duotone no longer use glue to bond the outer layers, but thermal welding instead. The difference shows: the board weighs less, the rails last more years without peeling, and once folded it takes up far less room. In the boot space that used to fit one board, two now fit.

The Duotone Raven Air SLS 11'6" weighs 6.85 kg. An equivalent inflatable from five years ago weighed 9 or 10 kg.

Starboard or Duotone: which suits you

Duotone (the SUP range formerly called Fanatic) has the lightest boards in the catalogue. If you want a good weight-to-price ratio, look at Flow for allround and Raven or Blitz for touring.

Starboard sits at the high end of touring. On the Touring Deluxe, with a carbon paddle, you notice the better finish and a different stroke. They're also pricier. We're a Starboard Flagship Store, we know the full range and can guide you on every model.

If you want to start simple and spend just enough, look at the Duotone Flow Air SLS or the Starboard iGo ONE. For long tours with more budget, the Starboard Touring Deluxe.

Shipping, warranty and returns

We ship to Spain and Portugal in 24/48 hours if the product is in stock. Packs marked as back-order come from the brand's warehouse. Message us and we'll confirm the real timeframe before you buy, no surprises.

You have 14 days to return your purchase and every board carries the manufacturer's official warranty. If you'd rather split the payment, we work with SeQura and you'll find the instalment breakdown on each product.

Why buy from us

We opened our showroom in 2012 and have been at our current shop in Marbella, Málaga since 2017. We're not a dropshipper with someone else's catalogue. We have the boards, we test them, and we sell them to people we later run into on the water.

We're a Flagship Store for Starboard, Foil Drive, Black Project, Armstrong, Axis, Quattro and KT. We carry the full range, spare parts and a real person on the other end who knows which board suits you and which doesn't.

Unsure about size? Message us on WhatsApp, tell us how much you weigh and where you'll paddle, and we'll tell you which to choose.

Frequently asked questions about inflatable paddle boards

Which inflatable paddle board do I need for my weight?

Check each board's max rider weight, the figure the manufacturer gives. In our 2026 catalogue it runs from 70 kg (Duotone Alfa WS Air 9'0") to 120 kg (Starboard iGo ONE, iGO Deluxe Lite 10'8" and Touring Deluxe 14'0"x30"). Quick reference: if you weigh 80 kg you're well covered by any board from 280 L up; below 250 L you'll notice the board is less stable.

How many litres should my board have?

Volume drives buoyancy. The 2026 packs range from 180 L to 409 L. For beginners, more volume is easier: a 300 L board forgives mistakes a 213 L one won't. If you already have the skills and want speed, dropping litres and width gives you a faster but less stable board.

What's in the pack?

Every pack includes board, paddle, pump, leash, fins, repair kit and carry bag: ready for the water without buying anything else. The Premium Duotone Blitz packs add a kayak seat, and Starboard's Kayak Sets include a kayak seat and paddle.

Inflatable or hard board?

If you live in a flat, load the board into a normal car or want to travel with it, inflatable. It folds into a backpack and in 2026 thermally welded boards pack down to almost half the size of a few years ago. A hard board performs better in waves and pure speed, but you need somewhere to store it and a way to transport it. For 90% of people starting out, inflatable.

How much does an inflatable board weigh?

Between 6.85 kg and 11.2 kg depending on model and size. The Duotone Air SLS are the lightest in the range (the Raven 11'6" weighs 6.85 kg). The 14-foot Starboard Touring Deluxe are the heaviest, over 10 kg, because they're big touring boards. Add the paddle, pump and bag for the pack's total weight.

Is it good for two people or for going with a child?

For an adult and a small child, yes, as long as you don't exceed the board's max rider weight. Look for the higher-volume, wider ones: the Starboard iGo ONE 10'8"x33" (331 L, up to 120 kg) or the iGO Deluxe Lite are the most comfortable for that. For two adults, none of these boards is designed for it.

How long does it take to inflate?

With the hand pump that comes in the pack, between 8 and 12 minutes depending on size and how much pressure you leave it at. With an electric pump, 5-7 minutes and no sweat. If you head out often, the electric one pays for itself fast.

What pressure should I inflate the board to?

Each board has its recommended pressure printed next to the valve, usually between 15 and 18 PSI. Don't fall short: an under-inflated board flexes in the middle and paddles terribly. Inflate it to the marked pressure and you'll feel a genuinely stiff board.

Can I take it on a plane?

Yes, folded in its backpack it goes as checked luggage. Check your airline's weight limit, because the full pack with paddle and pump usually comes in around 10-14 kg. It's one of the strong reasons to choose inflatable.

What's the difference between allround, touring and windsup?

Allround is the versatile board: wider, more stable, good at everything and outstanding at nothing. Touring is longer and narrower, faster and holds its line better on long tours, but is less stable and worse in small waves. WindSUP has a mast foot for fitting a sail. If it's your first board and you're not sure, allround.
