Armstrong Midlength Mk II X-Form

The new Armstrong Midlength Mk II X-Form Board marks the next evolutionary step in the brand's board design, debuting the innovative X-Form Precision Molded Board Technology. Designed for the next era of foiling, this board has been developed to deliver a lighter, stronger riding experience with a far more direct connection to the foil. Perfected after years of testing in the most demanding conditions in New Zealand, it combines Armstrong's iconic feel with unprecedented control, consistency, and confidence.
The Midlength Mk II is not only built to perform at the highest level — it's built to maintain that performance session after session. At the heart of this revolution is the X-Form process, manufactured in Armstrong's own facilities using CNC molds under uniform pressure and temperature conditions. This permanently locks in the board's rocker lines, rails, and contours.
To ensure bombproof durability against the hardest impacts, the entire internal surface of the board features a high-density PVC wrap. The foot area also incorporates a Double Sandwich system with dual high-density PVC reinforced panels to withstand the heaviest landings. Even if the outer shell were to crack, its ultra-lightweight large-bead EPS core will not absorb water. The rails are also fully perimeter-wrapped in high-density PVC foam to protect the highest-risk areas from paddle strikes and transport damage.
On the water, it rides in a forgiving, predictable, and highly responsive manner. The optimized volume distribution allows the board to sit lower in the water, increasing initial stability. When the board reconnects with the surface after a jump or descent, its shallower chine sections and flat tail bottom minimize drag, preventing the board from catching or veering off course, releasing immediately to fly again. It is the ideal choice for both Winging and Parawinging disciplines.
Armstrong Midlength Mk II Features:
- X-Form Technology: Precision molded construction that guarantees exact consistency in every board, eliminating material fatigue and softening over time.
- Optimal strength-to-weight ratio: The structural high-pressure process produces an extremely rigid, durable, and lightweight board.
- Sleeker, thinner profile: Thanks to X-Form's strength, board thickness is reduced for a direct underfoot connection and greater responsiveness.
- Reduced friction and catching (Slippery Bottom): A refined double concave transitioning into a subtle "V" at the tail optimizes fluid dynamics for early takeoffs and clean recoveries after touchdown.
- Surf Style Squash Tail: A surf-inspired square tail design that adds intuitive stability when getting on the board and accelerates the launch into flight.
- Forward Geometry foil tracks: True to Armstrong's 2021 legacy, positions the foil more centrally to reduce swing weight and enhance maneuverability.
- Dual carbon stringer system: An I-beam internal structure that fully connects the deck and bottom for maximum structural rigidity.
- Integrated carbon foil box: Patented carbon tracks integrated directly with the stringer fibers for unmatched strength.
- Foil Assist-compatible window: Specifically designed with a section that allows clean, uninterrupted passage of remote signals.
- New optimized deck grip: A lighter yet high-traction textured pad incorporating Rear Foot Wedges, Dual Foot Arch Bars, and mast position indicators for intuitive foot placement.
