The black base plate for Axis aluminum masts has been completely redesigned. CNC-machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, the new base plate provides greater stiffness and durability while reducing unnecessary weight; all finished with a black anodized coating designed to withstand demanding conditions in both salt and fresh water.
The beveled mast housing now features a tapered profile that increases lateral stiffness and removes material where it isn't needed. Additionally, a split cross-stabilization bolt, seamlessly integrated into the bevel, strengthens the joint between the mast and base plate, ensuring a solid, precise fit and improving long-term durability.
The rear section of the bevel has also been redesigned with a smoother, less aggressive edge to enhance safety and make handling easier. The overall width of the plate has been reduced, allowing it to fit perfectly on foil boards with a trench mounting system, especially Axis Pocket Trench models. Furthermore, it features additional mounting holes that offer direct attachment options for Foil Drive or other compatible assist systems.
The base plate comes supplied with mounting screws included. It is NOT compatible with the previous generation of 19mm Red aluminum masts.
