Introducing the Axis Dart, a shorter and more playful foil board, ideal for a wide variety of conditions and skill levels.
The main goal with this board was to keep the design as compact as possible, without sacrificing speed or ease of take-off. The aim was to manufacture an agile and fun board, capable of performing in diverse conditions and easy to transport. Thanks to its rocker and bottom contours, the board accelerates effortlessly, making take-offs remarkably easy considering its dimensions.
Another crucial aspect is stability. Generally, shorter boards tend to be less stable, so the bottom shape was modified to be flatter in the stance area and tail, while increasing both the tail width and overall width of the board. With its more compact design, the Dart feels incredibly agile in the air, allowing for more radical turns, better foil control, and improved tracking on small waves when downwinding or riding the critical section of the wave when surfing.
Thanks to the increased width, it features a concave deck for an enhanced connected feel and control while riding. It incorporates vertical rails and additional tail rocker for added stability, along with a displacement hull section in the nose to improve glide and acceleration.
The Dart is designed for short-wave downwinders and surf foiling, but it also works wonders as a board for parawing or light-wind wingfoiling. Its compact design and wide range of uses make the Dart the perfect travel board, allowing you to get the most out of a huge variety of conditions.
