The FM+ Battery Adapter is required to use the FM+ battery range with Foil Drive Fusion units. The adapter increases the length of smaller batteries so they fit securely into the longer Fusion unit.
Fusion customers who purchased their system prior to the release of the FM+ batteries (September 2026) will need to purchase an adapter alongside their FM+ 650 battery. For Fusion systems purchased after that date, the adapter is included in the kit.
The one-piece molded design integrates the battery and nose cone to ensure sealing, optimal water flow, durability, and a centered weight balance over the foil's lift point. Internal thermal management keeps the temperature stable to deliver consistent power and smooth thrust from start to finish.
The FM+ Battery Adapter creates a secure, tool-free connection between the smaller FM+ battery range and the Fusion unit, allowing both the FM+ 650 and FM+ 430 to easily latch into the system. Integrated quick-lock tabs make installing and removing the adapter fast and intuitive, while guaranteeing a solid, firm connection between the battery and the Fusion base. This gives Fusion users greater flexibility when configuring their gear: from achieving maximum runtime with the Fusion 860 to enjoying a lighter, more agile, and responsive feel with the FM+ battery range, all without modifying the core system.
