The FM+ 650 battery offers the ideal balance between range, weight, and cost, making it the preferred choice for Fusion Gen2.5 and MAX+ units.
With a capacity of 648 Wh, Foil Drive's 43 V architecture delivers powerful, consistent thrust, as well as great range for extended surf foil sessions, downwind foil, wake or pump foil, flatwater cruising, and light eFoiling.
It is compatible with Fusion and MAX+ setups: simply add the FM+ Battery Adaptor for Fusion; this way, MAX+ users get the highest capacity battery, while Fusion users gain a lighter, more manageable option.
The FM+ 650 battery includes its travel case and is compatible with Foil Drive Fusion (by adding the FM+ Battery Adaptor), Foil Drive MAX+, the FM+ Battery Adaptor, the standard 43 V charger, and the Foil Drive Battery Caddy (with FM+ Battery Adaptor). Not compatible with second-generation (Gen 2) MAX units.
Gen2.5 battery technology allows for deeper cycle performance, delivering full power until the charge drops to ~10% before the standard performance taper. Charging requires the 43 V charger supplied with Fusion or MAX+; it takes an average of 85 minutes and includes a storage mode (Store with a State of Charge (SoC) between 30% and 60%). The Smart Bluetooth Module (BMS) provides accurate data to the V3 controller and the Foil Drive App, including battery name, health status, and state of charge.
The one-piece molded design integrates the battery and nose cone to ensure sealing, optimal water flow, durability, and a weight balance centered at the foil's lift point. Internal thermal management keeps temperatures stable to deliver consistent power and smooth thrust from start to finish.
