If you are new to using harness lines or only hook in for short periods, the Wing Waist Padded Belt V1 is the ideal companion; it combines a sliding hook with a practical waist connection point for your wing leash. It is an excellent option for riders who do not hook in regularly when riding with lots of power and therefore do not require the additional support of a more dedicated harness.
The sliding hook allows the body to rotate freely and is much more comfortable when riding toeside. This reduces the rotational force on the belt, keeping it centered on your body. The belt's design also allows for complete body mobility when letting the wing flag out behind you.
The sliding hook can be pushed to the side and folded down if you need to lie down on the board to paddle or to climb back onto it, preventing the discomfort that the hook would cause if it were positioned right in front. The belt is reversible, allowing you to choose which side you prefer to connect your wing leash to (this requires removing the sliding hook, flipping the belt over, and putting the hook back on, but it is a very simple process).
