Starboard Above Limited Series 2026

The Above range is designed incorporating everything learned from downwind SUP and wingfoil. Building on the long and narrow designs of the Ace Foil (highly efficient and fast in light wind), the goal has been to maintain that same early take-off ability while significantly improving maneuverability and forgiveness during touchdowns.

To achieve this, the length has been slightly shortened, narrow outlines are retained, and it combines the parallel mid-section of the Take Off range, the pronounced V-nose of the X-15, and a slightly wider nose and tail for greater forgiveness.

In short, the Above is the ultimate “all-in-one” board that takes off earlier, maneuvers better, and forgives more mistakes than typical long and narrow pure downwind boards.

Features of the Starboard Above:

• V-shaped nose that reduces drag and allows smooth landings with quick foil re-engagement.
• Parallel mid-section for balanced glide and excellent tracking during take-off.
• Flat deck that maximizes usable width, providing comfort and responsiveness while keeping a thin profile over the foil (larger models add extra deck volume for flotation).
• Round pin tail for excellent tracking and clean, efficient water release.
• Boxy rails that reduce overall width but maintain stability and speed up take-off.
• Optimized bottom shape: rounded V in the nose transitioning to a flat center section and finishing with a smooth round tail = maximum stability and clean release.
• Triple footstrap inserts for fully customizable strap positions.
