• Get On Foil Earlier: The side cutaways concept has been pushed to the max to develop extra speed in displacement mode to get on foil early; you can take off even before reaching planing speeds.
• Use Even Smaller Foils: The increased volumed combined with a highly effiecient hull design means riders can use smaller front wings and still get flying, which means even higher top end speeds.
• Deep Tail Cutaways: The cutaways have been extended to decrease drag before take-off and accelerate the transition into flight mode by quickly reducing wetted surface area as speed increases.
• Class Leading Aerodynamics: The board is shaped like a waterdrop from the nose to the tail, reducing drag and increasing aerodynamic efficiency. Reduces drag by up 60% compared to conventional boards, resulting in increased speed and improved stability during flight.
• Fast, Controlled Touchdowns: The X-15 is designed with a large hull Vee built into the nose rocker. This shape has been designed and tested for extreme conditions, able to touch down at full speed and re-launch without losing speed or control.
• Deck’s Rounded Profile: The X-15 features a slight convex deckshape for the highest efficiency. Airflow over the board is stable and has minimum resistance, maximising speed potential, stability and precise handling.
• Extended Tail Area: Provides additional balance before takeoff and minimizes drag while in the air.
• Precision Flight Control: A slightly recessed standing area gives the rider the most precise positioning and connection to the foil. Built to be aerodynamically efficient while accommodating for the most natural feel at high speeds.
• Race Tuned Footstrap Inserts: Inserts for foot strap placements are tuned for maximum control during high speed racing and feature a range of insert options for different wind speeds and foil configurations.
• Lightweight Footstraps Included: The Drake Ultralight MK4 footstraps are ideal for high performance foiling. The Ultralight MK4 straps featurea elongated screw slots to allow racers to set their back strap extra-wide using hole spacings further apart. This allows the rider’s foot to shift forward for downwind and backwards for upwind. Perfect trim adjustment on the fly.
• Deep Tuttle Box: For the best possible connection to the foil, the tuttle box brings your foil millimeters to your foot for the best control at high speeds.
