Appletree Zapple S

The Appletree Zapple S is the evolution of the popular Zapple, the most popular trench board for foil assist. Developed specifically in collaboration with the Foil Drive team for advanced riders, lighter foilers, or foilers looking for maximum maneuverability in waves. Developed alongside the AppleSlice Prone, the Zapple S arrives in ultra-compact sizes tailored for pure, radical performance. It comes with an optimized trench to seamlessly integrate the Foil Drive system, reducing water drag, lowering the overall center of gravity, and delivering an unmatched feel underfoot. As with the entire Appletree foil lineup, the Zapple S features the solidest and stiffest construction possible.

• Ultra-thin profile: Minimal thickness underfoot that maximizes foil sensitivity and provides sharp, responsive turning.
• Pulled-in rails: Narrower rail profile that increases control and forgiveness during high-speed carves and wave maneuvers.
• Flat central rocker + continuous rail rocker: A combination that promotes fast planing for earlier takeoffs while maintaining agility and preventing catching while riding waves.
• Light deck concave: Enhances comfort and delivers a direct connection between the rider and the board.
• Full nose with V-entry: Adds volume upfront, softens touchdowns, deflects water, and makes prone paddling easier.
• Specialized signal window: Features a built-in window in the nose ensuring seamless connectivity with the wireless Foil Drive remote without needing foam inserts.
• Footstrap inserts: Versatile setup featuring a V-configuration in the front and an offset position in the rear to fine-tune your stance to the millimeter.
• 50K Foam core: Closed-cell, high-density foam that will not absorb water even if the shell is damaged, capable of withstanding up to 50,000 kg/m².
• Vacuum carbon lamination: In-house pressure-injected epoxy resin process that guarantees a perfect bond without delamination risk and an ultra-lightweight finish.
• Futures Oneshot boxes + PET Honeycomb panels: Ultra-durable foil boxes integrated into high-density PET honeycomb panels sandwiched in carbon on both sides for maximum energy transfer to the foil.

Foil Drive Compatibility: Gen 2 & Fusion: As standard, the Zapple S is 100% compatible with the Foil Drive Gen 2 system. For riders looking to use the new Foil Drive Fusion system (featuring a larger battery that extends further forward), an optional 10 cm extended trench is available upon request to maintain full mast adjustability.
