The new Axis 19mm black aluminum mast achieves 2.24 times greater stiffness than many other aluminum masts, even surpassing the stiffness of many carbon masts currently available on the market.
This mast now seamlessly integrates with the redesigned base plate using a new tapered mast base profile and a split cross-stabilized bolt system. This creates an even stiffer connection, increasing the overall stiffness of the system and improving strength and long-term durability.
The result is a direct, solid, and predictable feel on the water, especially during maneuvers. This combination of stiffness, control, and predictability makes the aluminum mast an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate riders, while delivering the performance that experienced riders expect from the Axis system.
Each mast is internally sealed to prevent water entry, avoiding unnecessary weight gain and protecting against internal corrosion. The affordability of aluminum allows for multiple mast lengths for different foiling disciplines, conditions, and locations, or simply upgrading to a longer mast as your riding progresses. Thanks to the Axis modular system, changing mast lengths is quick and easy.
Using the appropriate Axis Doodad adapter, 2026 aluminum masts are compatible with all fuselage systems in the Axis range, including the new Fatty system, which requires its own specific adapter. They are also backward compatible with base plates and 19mm adapters from previous generations.
Aluminum masts are supplied without mounting screws. Check out the stainless steel and titanium screw sets to find compatible hardware.
