The Axis Foil Drive Pocket Trench Foilboard revolutionizes Foil Drive system integration. Instead of creating a bulky trench that disrupts water flow, Axis designed a pocket-recessed system that allows the Foil Drive unit to sit seamlessly flush under the deck. The result is reduced drag, smoother hydrodynamics, and a riding position identical to that of your standard board.
This streamlined design also offers practical advantages. A narrower, tighter cavity keeps the Foil Drive and mast perfectly aligned, while the new one-piece sliding T-nut system makes setup quick and easy. Simply position, slide, and lock into your preferred location. Thanks to fiberglass reinforcement in the track box and forward deck area, the Pocket Trench guarantees an uninterrupted signal to your controller, eliminating the signal loss issues common in full carbon boards.
Designed in close collaboration with the Foil Drive technical team, the Axis Pocket Trench is compatible with all second-generation Foil Drive models, including the newly released Gen 2.5 Foil Drive Fusion.
The Pocket Trench 4'11"x18.9" with a volume of 40 liters is engineered for exceptional performance. Ultra-lightweight and flawlessly designed, it is built for riders seeking a seamless Foil Drive experience without sacrificing speed or responsiveness. By rethinking the trench board concept from the ground up, Axis created a board that is as functional as it is innovative, and lighter than any other board of its kind in the range.
The 50 L model (5’2”x19.3”) is ideal for lightweight beginners (<70 kg), intermediate foilers (<90 kg), and heavier riders (>90 kg) at an advanced level. Meanwhile, the 60 L model measuring 5’6”x20.15” is aimed at beginners under 90 kg and heavier intermediate riders (>90 kg).
All Pocket Trench sizes are compatible with all Foil Drive models (Slim, Max, and Fusion); however, they are not compatible with the softer base plate pads supplied with Max models bearing serial numbers between AM-0001 and AM-2300.
