The Blackbox is a board specifically designed to be an "all-around" paddle board with a particular focus on stability and surfing small to medium waves. It is characterized by its wide nose and rounded pintail, which makes it very stable for beginners while offering enough maneuverability for intermediate users who want to surf.
It is a classic Hobie design that utilizes BCX (Bamboo Composite Epoxy) construction technology, which combines the aesthetics of natural wood with the durability of epoxy. It features a real bamboo layer under the varnish, providing superior structural rigidity and a very attractive visual finish. The deck pad incorporates a high-traction EVA foam pad that covers a large part of the surface to ensure grip.
