KT Halo Front Wing

The KT Halo carbon front wing is the brand's masterpiece for high-performance foiling, oriented towards freestyle, powerful surfing, and quick transitions. Designed with a "magic aspect ratio of 8" (Aspect Ratio 8), it achieves an idyllic balance: a thin and fast profile that unlocks incredible top speeds and superior glide, while maintaining a compact span to ensure maximum rigidity and aggressive turns without losing control.
Unlike the Nomad range, the Halo series sacrifices a small amount of low-speed lift to offer a notably higher top speed, increased glide, and a radical, instant response. Additionally, its sizing is designed to provide a familiar yet high-performance feel (delivering approximately 15% more surface area than equivalent Nomad models).
Key Features of the KT Halo Front Wing:
- Aspect Ratio of 8: Its "skate-like" design keeps the foil loose, free, and reactive during tight turns, while guaranteeing amazing stability at high speeds.
- Thin Profile and Moderate Camber: A thinner hydrodynamic section that minimizes water drag, optimized to accelerate explosively and maintain momentum smoothly between sections or waves.
- UHM Carbon Construction: Manufactured with Ultra-High Modulus carbon to maximize structural rigidity. This prevents tip flex when supporting heavy loads or riding in very choppy water conditions.
- Instant Repop and Ventilation Control: The classic surf-inspired outline and refined tips allow the wing to recover immediately and predictably after jumps, freestyle tricks, or when the tips break the water's surface (breaching).
- Wide Range of Disciplines: An ultra-versatile platform that excels in Wing Foiling (enhanced Freeride and Freestyle), Surf Foiling, Wake, Big Wave, Tow-in, and Foil Assist.
Which KT Halo Front Wing Size to Choose?
The range is divided into four specific sizes depending on your weight, level, and wind conditions:
- 550 cm² – Radical Speed and Strong Conditions: The smallest and fastest option in the range. Designed for experienced riders looking for high-speed wing foiling, extreme freestyle, or surfing in powerful, hollow wave conditions. It offers blistering acceleration.
- 670 cm² – Extreme Control and Tow-In / Big Wave: Specifically designed to maintain composure at terminal speeds. It absorbs turbulence, strong winds, and heavy chop flawlessly. Maximum confidence when the pace on the water gets wild.
- 800 cm² – The Performance All-Rounder: The most versatile size and recommended for the vast majority of riders. It offers a user-friendly experience similar to a Nomad 700 wing, but unlocks much more top-end speed and glide as soon as you decide to push it.
- 950 cm² – Early Lift and Stability: The largest platform in the Halo series. It offers a feel close to a Nomad 830, providing more low-end grunt, which is ideal for lighter winds, inland freestyle, or as the perfect gateway to the reactive feel of the Halo range.
