The X-Wing Performance defines the next generation in Armstrong Foils' wing lineup. Designed and constructed to deliver high-end performance and efficiency, combined with refined, composed handling. It offers a fast, intuitive ride that feels immediately familiar from the first moment.
Reactivity, progressive power output, and its extreme lightweight are the key attributes that position the X-Wing above the XPS in the range. The X-Wing is constructed with high-performance materials that increase airframe stiffness and significantly reduce overall weight. It is a wing that feels equally at home during smooth freeride sessions or surfing powerful waves.
The carbon boom IS NOT INCLUDED with the wing. If you want to purchase it with you can buy it separately.

Key features of the Armstrong X-Wing Performance Wing:
- Airframe: Lighter and stronger. The X-Wing's airframe structure has been optimized for riders seeking greater efficiency and control. Thanks to a refined geometry, it reduces aerodynamic resistance (drag), offers a lighter feel of responsiveness in the hands, and significantly expands the useful wind range while flying on the foil. The result is a wing that drives predictably and efficiently, providing the necessary confidence to push to the limit in high-wind conditions.
- High Aspect Geometry: Maximum control at speed. With an increased Aspect Ratio, the X-Wing extends its aerodynamic range and drastically improves performance at high speeds. This geometry particularly benefits intermediate to advanced riders, ensuring higher performance under extreme conditions. If you are looking for more power and speed, you can simply choose a larger size without losing efficiency thanks to the wing's advanced design.
- Advanced Materials: Ultra-PE X-PLY: Weight reduction while maintaining absolute structural rigidity; Armstrong has reduced the leading edge diameter by using state-of-the-art laminated materials. Weighing under 2 kg in key sizes, the wing minimizes rider fatigue and multiplies maneuverability. It also features a high tear-resistance reinforcement that distributes loads evenly. Added to this is the Woven Polyester + PET Film, a film layer that seals the fabric to prevent moisture entry, ensuring maximum stability and water repellency. Finally, the U-PE Woven consists of ultra-low elongation and high-strength Ultra-PE fibers that ensure the wing retains its designed shape even under the most extreme tensions.
- XPS Canopy (Cross Panel Sail) dual design: Inspired by the performance sailing world and innovated by Armstrong in wing design, the Cross Panel Sail (XPS) layout drastically eliminates aerodynamic profile distortion by arranging each individual canopy panel at specific angles that best suit load distribution. This is combined with Teijin D3 Technoforce, a premium fabric that offers an incredible feel in flight and keeps the canopy maintaining its factory tension over time. It is completed with longitudinal panels at the front that support the wing's profile section, ensuring a crisp response at high speeds, and removable carbon fiber trailing edge battens (Carbon Battens) to minimize canopy flutter, allowing you to adjust and tune the wing according to wind strength.
- Dyna-Link Connection System and Carbon Boom: The Dyna-Link design stands out for being strong, simple, and ultra-functional, dispensing with heavy hardware or plastic tracks. It utilizes carbon fiber boom mounts that anchor to the strut via ultra-resistant Dyneema loops. It is easily installed or removed while the wing is deflated, and becomes solidly locked once the wing is inflated to its maximum pressure.
Note: The X-Wing is exclusively compatible with carbon booms (Carbon Boom). The boom's circular profile uses the same technology as Armstrong's prestigious masts and foils, wrapped in textured EVA grip for the perfect hold. - Integrated Safety (Windows & Signal Pink): Lightweight horizontal windows offer excellent visibility and increase safety in crowded areas. The selected TPU material does not yellow or crack over time. Additionally, it features Signal Pink reflective details, which are high-visibility graphics in reflective pink so you can be quickly spotted in the open ocean or in low-light conditions.
