Stand Up Paddle inflatable boards make use of a manufacturing process called drop-stitch. This technology, which went thorugh a major breakthrough in the last years, consists of linking several plastic layers with internal threads which allow for a hollow and highly resistant structure that can withstand high inflation pressure. Many different brands are using this technology, each one adding their own personal touch or improvements.

 

SUP and Surf boards built with this technology are very light, as they feature a Polyurethane core.
They are also highly resistant due to their high density Polyethylene coating.

La tecnología de tablas hinchables de Stand up Paddle utiliza un sistema de construcción denominado drop-stitch. Esta nueva tecnología que ha sufrido una gran evolución, a mejor, en los últimos años, consiste en la unión de varias capas de material plástico mediante hilos internos que permiten crear una estructura hueca, resitente y que se puede inflar a muy altas presiones. Las diferentes marcas del mercado la usan, cada una con sus características diferenciadoras.

Las tablas de sup y surf de esta tecnología son tablas muy livianas pues poseen su núcleo de Poliuretano.
También son resistentes gracias a su cubierta de Polietileno de alta densidad.
